  • Our Cypress Airboat tour was the ride of a lifetime. We took the whole family on this Everglade adventure, and it was a great experience for all of us. The special child pricing made it an affordable family outing during our Florida vacation, and Im sure the kids will remember their airboat ride in the Everglades for a lifetime. We have wonderful memories and photos of our airboat ride in the Everglades to take home and share with friends.

Before our trip, I wasnt even sure what an airboat was, but Id heard it was the best way to see the Everglades! Many areas of the Everglades are only accessible by airboat, so I certainly recommend an airboat tour, if youre interested in the ecology and wildlife of the Everglades. I was pleasantly surprised to find the airboat ride both smooth enough to be comfortable in the shallow waters of the Everglades and fast enough to be a lot of fun for all of us. For anyone who doesnt know, airboats are light, small boats powered by a rear-mounted airplane propeller. While our group was small, Cypress Airboats can handle groups of up to 14 on their larger airboats. We took a two-hour tour, but both shorter and longer tours are available. Theyll even schedule night tours! We ruled that out because of the kids, but I imagine it would be wonderful for adults. While I didnt expect the airboat to be fast, it can move quickly through the swampy waters of the Everglades. The kids in particular liked this part of our Everglades airboat adventure.

We chose Cypress Airboats over other companies in the area for several reasons. First and foremost, they are experienced and knowledgeable about the area, so we felt that they would provide us with a safe and fun airboat experience in the Everglades. Our primary reason for choosing Cypress Airboats over their competitors was the depth of the tour. Many airboat tours go just a few miles into the Everglades and do not offer a substantial amount of information, or a real chance to experience the beauty of the Everglades. Cypress Airboats does offer shorter airboat rides, geared toward speed and excitement, and wed love to come back and give an adventurous airboat ride a try!

While I was a bit nervous about venturing deep into the backwoods of the Florida Everglades, our professional and knowledgeable captain made me completely comfortable for our airboat ride in the Everglades. The captain was, like all the captains for Cypress Airboats, US Coast Guard certified, and grew up piloting airboats in the Everglades. We had no worries at all about our safety on our airboat tour of the Everglades. The boat was equipped with floatation devices and first- aid supplies, as well, so we felt like we were well prepared if something did occur. Not only did our captain ensure our safety, but also he was also a great tour guide and shared many details about the ecology, animals, plants, and history of the Everglades.

Our two-hour airboat tour with Cypress Airboat was an approximate 40-mile ride through the River of Grass. The River of Grass is a shallow wide span of water, ranging from as shallow as six inches deep to as much as three feet deep. The waters of the River of Grass are home to many different plant and animal species, from alligators to orchids. Our captain was a knowledgeable and experienced guide and he freely shared his knowledge of the area. His skills as a guide and as a pilot of the airboat thoroughly enhanced our trip and made it fun and educational for the whole family.

Our airboat ride through the Everglades was a great way to experience this amazing, natural environment. We traveled through the River of Grass on our airboat tour and saw a huge variety of wetland plants and trees. We saw sawgrass, water lilies, bladderwort, and other marshland plants, as well as cypress trees, orchids, and ferns. We found the mangrove trees in the Everglades particularly interesting. Our captain was very familiar with the many interesting plants on the airboat tour.

Were all interested in bird watching, and this was definitely a highlight of our airboat trip in the Florida Everglades. We were lucky enough to spot a white ibis and a great blue heron, but a number of other birds also inhabit the Everglades. Wed hoped to see a roseate spoonbill or one of the varieties of egrets in the region, but didnt get quite that lucky.

We did see a number of alligators during our visit to the Everglades, including one big one! That was very exciting for all of us. It was interesting to learn more about the role of alligators, not only as a top predator in the area, but also the importance of alligators to the overall ecology of the Everglades. Alligators burrow out gator holes that provide homes for many aquatic species during the dry season. Manatees and dolphins also live in the open waters of the Everglades, but are obviously not seen in the shallow waters of the backcountry.

Our captain told us of a number of other interesting animal species in the area. We had hoped to spot the endangered Florida panthers, but didnt get to see them this time. However, we did catch a glimpse of a white tailed deer, and our captain told us to watch for bobcats, opossums, skunks, raccoons, and other small mammals, which are common in the area, as well.

Our airboat ride in the Everglades was an experience none of us will ever forget. We all cant wait to go back and definitely plan on taking another ride with Cypress Airboats on our next trip to the area. Were even considering arranging a special full day tour to really explore and experience the beauty and wonder of the Everglades. Fortunately, Cypress Airboats operates 365 days a year, assuming the weather is safe for airboating, so were sure to be able to find time for another exciting adventure with the great folks at Cypress Airboats.

    KEYWORD Florida bankruptcy (8)
    WORD COUNT: 444
    KWD: 1.80 %

Process of Filing a Florida Bankruptcy

Bankruptcy allows individuals or businesses who are in debt to others for more money than theyre able to pay, to either work out a plan to repay the money over time or completely eliminate most of the bills.

The process of bankruptcy is not that easy and simple, but with proper treatment of the issue and scenario, the bankruptcy process would not be complicated.

The Florida bankruptcy process is simplified in the following manner: gathering paperwork, filing Florida bankruptcy, automatic stay, bankruptcy trustee, meeting of creditors and plan confirmation.

Gathering paperwork is the first and yet most essential to begin with filing a Florida bankruptcy. One must itemize his current income sources; major financial transactions for two years; monthly living expenses; debts, both secured and unsecured and property which includes not only real states but all assets and possessions. One should also collect his tax returns for the last two years, deeds to any real estate owned, car titles and documents for any loan.

Once the necessary documents are gathered, one should then determine which property is exempt from seizure based on Florida exemptions. This is the point where in Florida bankruptcy may be filed. In filing Florida bankruptcy either the person involved or his counsel will need to file a two- page petition and several other forms at a Florida bankruptcy district court. These forms are referred to as the schedules and ask one to describe his or her current financial status and recent financial transactions. If the creditors or the judge feel or find out that you have one have not been entirely imminent in the bankruptcy filing, it could jeopardize the outcome of the petition.

When the gathered paperwork has been filed with the Florida bankruptcy court, an automatic stay immediately goes into effect. This provision prevents creditor from making direct contact to the person filing for bankruptcy, or staking a claim on any of the property of the person involved. In addition, this will stop any foreclosure proceedings.

Upon filing of Florida bankruptcy, the court will assume legal control of the debts and property not covered by Florida exemptions. A trustee will be appointed by court to see that creditors are paid as much as possible. The trustee, furthermore, will systematically review the paperwork, particularly the assets. The trustee could also challenge any element of the bankruptcy case.

After a month of filing, the trustee will call for a first meeting of creditors, this is also referred as 341 Meeting of the Creditors. Objections are typically resolved by negotiation between the debtor or the debtors counsel and the creditor. If a compromise can not be reached, a judge will intervene.

When you enjoy the vacation of your life in Orlando, Florida you may want to treat yourself and your family to a meal at some of the finer restaurants in the area. Here is a pick of some of my favorites.

    California Grill

Located on the 15th floor of Disney’s Contemporary Resort this restaurant was voted Orlando’s Most Popular restaurant. Its renowned chef Clifford Pleau continually reinvents his “unique seasonal menus”, creating “divine” dishes paired with an “equally eloquent wine list”; add “impeccable” service and “spectacular” views of the park and its fireworks, and the result is truly great, even if it is accompanied by tourists wearing shorts and Mickey Mouse ears! Location: Disney World, Contemporary Hotel, 41

    Christini’s

This restaurant has been called “a treasure among restaurants”, and is located in the in the Dr. Phillips area of South Orlando. It is well-known for lavish meals, complemented by a 450-label wine list. The food is served in a romantic setting with strolling musicians giving you the ambience of a night out in Italy. However, the feasting here does not come cheap and the prices are “high” even by “expense-account” standards. South Orlando 7600 Dr. Phillips Blvd., 52

    Hemingways

If you have always loved the mystique of Ernest Hemingway then this is the place to go. The Hemingway-at-Key-West decor (rods and reels, a stuffed marlin, nautical trinkets) at this Lake Buena Vista hotel seafood house makes you feel like you’ve spent the day fishing with Hemingway. Guests describe it as “a nice place to bring clients” or to celebrate “special occasions” and some of the favorite dishes include coconut shrimp and paella. Lake Buena Vista 1 Grand Cypress Blvd. 41

    Morton’s of Chicago

If price is no object to a good meal then this steakhouse is the place for you. When was the last time you’ve had beef so tender and full of flavor that you have to remark after every bite? While the steakhouse is particularly close to the Central Florida theme parks, it is tucked away in the quaint Doctor Phillips Marketplace, a respite of sorts from nearby tourist hangouts. The clientle is made up of Orlando executives and Orlando business travelers. They are all here to drink martinis and sink their teeth into the juicy porterhouse, sirloin and Maine lobster. As for side dishes, don’t pass up the specialty, potatoes Lyonnaise. Location: 7600 Dr. Phillips Blvd. 60

    Venetian Room

This is a fine-dining restaurant that prides itself on offering an elegant experience of the highest level. The chef de cuisine is Khalid Benghallem, a former sous chef at Emeril’s and the opening chef at Shula’s Steakhouse in the Dolphin Hotel. The menu is typical for an upscale restaurant in this category and includes foie gras, crab cake, lamb rack, veal chops and other dishes. However, it is the special preparation of these common items that makes this restaurant special. You will, however, have to pay for this unique treat. This is not a cheap restaurant and appetizers range from 14 to 17, and six of the seven entries are more.than 30. Location: Caribe Royal Hotel 8101 World Center Drive

There you have it. If price is no object, and you just want to enjoy a fine meal at a great restaurant, then one of these Orlando restaurants will certainly satisfy you.
